How we help with collge applications
We can help as little or as much as you want
Junior and Senior Year:
1. Focused essay work, making sure your college application essays are varied enough to present the fullest picture of who you are, without being duplicative.
2. College Interview practice!
3. If you have to prepare a video for some of your college applications, we can guide you with your decisions about form and content.
4. Test prep – we have a great group of skilled and experienced tutors to help you with standardized testing.
5. Referrals for college fit counseling, which can help you narrow the list of schools you are applying to.
6. Spring of Senior Year! 🎉🎉
We can start helping with college applications as early as freshman year!
1. Find out more about yourself by answering our opening questions, here. Â
2. We evaluate the information you provide when answering our short survey, found here, Â and create your opening dossier entries in a shared Google document. This initial intake will involve in-person or Zoom meetings, over several sessions.
3. We help connect you with community resources and mentors so you can develop your interests.
4. We build your dossier with video chats or in-person meetings over the course of freshman and sophomore year.
5. By sophomore year, we begin to discuss Common Application topics.
6. We also do some short essay practice, where we work on writing essays for some of the more common prompts. Together, we edit and evaluate the content and form of your essays. We will also read successful college application essays, so we can see what works. We start to recognize what in your dossier is fuel for a great essay.
7. Sophomore and junior year, we begin to practice interviewing skills, and to discuss content and story ideas if your applications ask for video submittals.
